Tool/software:
Hello Team,
We want to read the Sensor data from CAN. I see there is CANFD output port. Is there a DBC file availbale, so that we can directly read the values with Vector CAnoe?
Hey Amish,
Thanks for posting your question regarding CANFD DBC file. Unfortunately, since the DBC file format and CANoe software was developed by Vector, you will have to contact them for support, as we do not have the expertise or resources for this matter.
Regards,
Kristien
Hello Kristien,
Many thanks for your reply. Can we get the messaging format, Ids etc. So that we can create our own DBC?
Hey Amish,
I'm a bit confused by your question. From my understanding, the DBC file is used primarily to specify what information is contained within specific CAN messages. This could be interpreted as the message formatting, but this is designated by the end user or the standard being followed such as SAE J1939.
Otherwise, if you are referring to CAN frame format being sent and received before decoding, the CAN transceiver for the AWR1843BOOST supports both classic CAN and CAN-FD formats. For classic CAN, refer to p.3 of the Introduction to the Controller Area Network (CAN) app note. For CAN-FD, refer to p.2 of the Getting Started with the MCAN (CAN FD) Module app note.
Regards,
Kristien
