AWRL6432BOOST: The signal strength of Tx1 is greater than the signal strength of Tx2

Hi,teams.

I measured the signal strength under the following two conditions by modifying the variables in the sample file "chirp_60G_6m.lua".

Condition 1: Configuration assuming CW transmission from Tx1

h_TxChCtrlBitMask=1

c_ChirpTxMimoPatSel=0

c_FrameTrigMode=4

Condition 2: Configuration assuming CW transmission from Tx2

h_TxChCtrlBitMask=2

c_ChirpTxMimoPatSel=0

c_FrameTrigMode=4

The result showed that the signal strength in Condition 1 is more than 20dB higher than the signal strength in Condition 2.

I had assumed that the signal strengths in both conditions would be the same, so if there is a mistake in the configuration, please let me know.

        Could you please confirm how are you observing this difference in signal strength? Are you using a power meter? Could you please share Tx Pwr Mon, TX BB Mon, RxTx Cal data Set and log of RF FACT CAL and RF RUN CAL in both the conditions?

    The signal strength was measured using a spectrum analyzer and a horn antenna. I would like to share the measurements of Tx Pwr Mon, TX BB Mon, RxTx Cal data Set, and the logs of RF FACT CAL and RF RUN CAL. However, I am unsure about the procedure for conducting these measurements. Could you please provide instructions on how to measure Tx Pwr Mon, TX BB Mon, RxTx Cal data Set, and the logs of RF FACT CAL and RF RUN CAL?

        Thanks for sharing the results. We have noticed that you were using the older ES version and the older firmware. These might be the reason for this issue. We strongly recommend you evaluate with the ES2.0 silicon (which is RTM version) and latest firmware available in the latest SDK available in TI.com (RTM version - MMWAVE_L_SDK_05_05_00_02). Could you please check and confirm whether you are able to reproduce this issue on ES2.0 Silicon with the latest firmware?

    While there are no immediate plans to purchase ES2, is there anything that can be done with ES1?

        I apologize for the delayed reply. I was Out of Office last week. We strongly encourage you  to use ES2.0 silicon for evaluation purposes since it is the RTM version with complete SW support. I am checking the availability of ES2.0 silicon with the field team. I will update you with the same, shortly.
