AWR2243BOOST: Problems regarding connection of AWR2243BOOST and DCA1000EVM and firmware versions

Hi,

I wish to ask a few questions regarding the AWR2243BOOST and DCA1000EVM.

Recently I have bought them for my use and tried to install the mmWave studio software fom the official site. I have installed both versions of it i.e. 03.01 & 02.01.

1. Now as the official video of TI, I installed all the supporting softwares and also the ports in the PC, but while selecting in the RS232 operations the Baud rate as 921600, the device does not get connected and shows error.(Image attached below)

When I change the baud rate to 115200, the device gets connected.(image attached below). I wish to know what is the difference between these 2 baud rates and how I can connect using the baud rate 921600.

2. There is an online software named mmWave demo visualizer and I cannot connect the device to the online platform. It always shows connecting 1 of 2. Please let me know the process how to connect to the online platform.(image attached below)

3. During the process of installing firmware in the AWR22443BOOST, I did not find the firmware version exactly for this variant. The ones included in the folder of the TI mmwave studio do not have the same names.(image attached below). So please can you share the firmware for my version?

    Hi Niladri,

    You can install the following version of mmwavestudio - 

    MMWAVE_STUDIO 03_00_00_14 - TI.com

    You can follow the user guide available at mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14/docs/mmwave_studio_user_guide.pdf. I could see that the number of device connected in the above screenshot is zero. Please make sure that all the connections are proper before configuring the device.

    Hi all,

    I am facing a problem while using the mmWave studio for my AWR2243B and DCA1000EVM.

    I am connected to the AWR2243B using the mmWave studio.(image attached below)

    But when I try to I do not know why cannot I use capture a data using them, it says number of files captured is zero!!!!(image attached below)

    Please help me how to solve this!!!

    Hi Niladri,

    Can you confirm if you are using any Lua script for the same or configuring the sensor in studio only? If you are using any Lua script, then can you share the configurations?

    Thanks for your reply.

    I was unable to get any readout from the mmwave studio and was getting some errors as shown before.

    But I saw a thread to disable the windows defender and now I am able to get data!!

    I am adding a screenshot below in order to verify!!

    I wish to ask from you about how to use the using the raw data and how to use Matlab script to utilise the raw data.

    I shall be highly obliged if you kindly provide me the information in steps about where the data is stored, in which format it is stored and also how to use the Matlab scripts to get the data and also do the FFT of the data.

    Please help me in this regard.
