Hi Team,

I carried out testing with IWRL6844ODS board with Demo In cabin sensor \Child Prediction Demo and configuration used is CPD default and radar toolbox 2_30_00_12 .

Mounting position was overhead.

Can able to detect front row seat persons but row 2 is not detecting only point cloud is formed in all the seats of row2.

Please suggest any modification needed in the configuration file.

Hi, there:

The starting point is to adjust the sensor mounting position. Can you explain to me where do you mount now? and now did you change the sensor mounting CLI configuration?

Hi ,

I have mounted radar on tripod with overhead postion (x=0 ,y=0.6,z=1.5m)

i have not changed sesnor mounting CLI configuration .

this is sensor mounting setup

and able to detect only first row seats ,second row seats only forming point clouds .

Hi team please provide modified or new configuration file where the detection happens both the rows(row 1 and row2)

this is what detection happening only in row 1 not in row 2 even though the seats are occupied with persons ,it forming point clouds but no detection happening . please resolve the issue.

Detection is happening only in front row (row 1) in row 2 is also occupied with persons but there is no detection only formation of point cloud is happening. please suggest to resolve the issue.

HI, Poonam:

The (x, y, x) location looks all right. But the tilting angle is very hard to see from your picture. When you say overhead position, do you mean parallel to the floor? The picture looks more like facing backward instead of downward.

Hi,

The detection issue is resolved with the radar mounting position (x=0,y=0.8,z=1.5) tilt -30 with configuration sbr and modified configuration CPD.

Classification between child and Adult is not Happening with CPD configuration.

Adult is detected as child in all the seats.

Please provide the configuration which can classify adult and child.

Hi, there:

I believe it could be related to your mounting height is too high compare to the car. And all the adults becomes really short relatively. Please adjust the height of your mounting to be similar to the car situation.

Hi this was my mounting position in the car and i changed configuration file according to it and checked with all the tilt with degrees - 30,40,50,60.

unable detect and classify the person.

please resolve the issue.

Hi, there:

Please rotate the point cloud figure to show where the point cloud are in 3D. Please check the height curve in the CPD mode for the adult. If you can record a video with 3D point cloud and height curve, that will be great.
