We currently have no sample code available for the TMP423. I apologize for the inconvenience.

The TMP103EVM has test points for the SDA and SCL lines which would allow you to easily probe the I²C signals. You can order one at: https://estore.ti.com/TMP103EVM-TMP103-Evaluation-Module-P2350.aspx
