LM95234 address help

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM95234

On the address select, how does that work with regard to the part?  If I need say three of these and want to use all three addresses, do we just order different p/n or something ?  Is there a – suffix or something that we differentiate these with?

  • Hi Amy,

There is no suffix to differentiate the slave address marking on LM95234 device. Any device exists on the SMBus protocol has a unique address (slave address). The LM95234 operates as a slave on the SMBus protocol by connecting the A0 of pin 9 to LOW, MID-SUPPLY, or HIGH. You could have three LM95234 devices at the same board, and all you need to do is tie each of them to LOW, MID-SUPPLY, or HIGH to assign a slave address based on the LM95234 datasheet section 1.3. However, if you only have one device on your board, then you have the choice to select any of these three addresses.

I hope that I have answered your question. Please let me know if you have further question.
