LM95234 Transistors change to 10k thermistor

Hi Sir,

As title, i have use LM95234 at old project, there connect external Transistors(2N3904) at pin 3,4,6,7. Now have new spec inquire is transistors change to 10k thermistor.
I think should be OK, but actually it's doesn't work. Could you tell us why and how to use 10k thermistor if possible. Many thanks for help...

Hello,

The LM95234 part is designed to be used with an external transistor/diode and not with a thermistor. A regular thermistor topology circuit will need to be used if you can only use a thermistor.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply, but why couldn't use thermistor? because we think thermistor. and diode both sense delta Temp and Volt... right?

Does TI have similar LM95234 function and use thermistor, not transistor solution??

Hi,

We do not have any IC's that use thermistors with the LM95234 functionality in the temperature sensing product line. I know some power management IC's have a thermistor read functionality but that will not be the core function of the product. You can ask in the power management forum if they can recommend any parts that have this functionality.
