I got the evm last week.
I intalled the GUI software and run it.
I see the pop-up like this.
So I goto the debug menu for update the firmware.
But I can't find a new firmware at your homepage.
How can i get the new virsion?
May be the security settings of your PC is not allowing the firmware upgrade application to come up. You can access this application directly as explained below:
a) In the following install folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TDC1000_7200EVM\MSP430 USB Firmware Upgrade Example
there's an application called "BSL_USB_GUI.exe".
Please invoke this application and use it to upgrade the firmware.
b) You should disconnect and reconnect the EVM while holding the SW1 button down so the MSP430 device is in BSL mode for firmware upgrade. You should see the "Found 1 device" message as shown in the screen capture below.
c) Then browse and choose the firmware hex file "TDC1000_7200_FW-v2.01-1MHz.txt" from the install folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TDC1000_7200EVM\Firmware
and press "Upgrade Firmware"
Thanks,
Vishy
I have followed these instructions and tried to update the relevant hex file. However the firmware always fails to update and gives the following message: "Failed to read data from RAM BSL". How should I proceed
