Hello to whom it may concern,

I have two question about TIDU953(1º Dial Using the LDC1314 Inductance-to-Digital Converter).

Q1 ; How is the repeatability positioning precision of TIDU953?
I want to know whether it is the same precision or not, even if I turn it all too often.

Q2 ; Is there a temperature characteristic at TIDU953?
If you have any reference material, please let me know.

Hello Manabu,

1: Multiple turns of the target will not degrade the measurement accuracy.
2: Unfortunately, I don't have information on temperature shift. Factors to consider include the clocking source stability, tempco of the sensor caps, and thermal expansion of the sensor and target. TIDA-00508 uses C0G grade sensor caps and the target and sensor boards are both constructed of FR4 to match the the physical expansion.

Sorry,I received additional question from our customer.

It’s about repeatability positioning precision.

How about the accuracy when measuring the same angle multiple times?

For example, even if it is rotated from 0 ° to 90 ° and returned to 0 ° once and turned again by 90 °, is it within 1 ° accuracy?

Hello Kai-san,

My apologies for the delay; I was not monitoring this thread. Yes, the spec holds. The accuracy spec listed applies to the actual measurement; the previous orientation of the target does not affect the current measurement accuracy or resolution.

In other words - every measurement is independent of the previous measurement.
