TMP112: TMP112 Power-up Reset Questions

Hi, Team,

We have questions for TMP112.

-Could you teach us Power-up Reset grantee value? (For example, maximum voltage or time)
-Can we use default configuration after the Power-up Reset if we don't use ALART pin?

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    Table 6.5 Electrical Characteristics contains the guaranteed values for this device. I cannot guarantee other parameters.

    The device has a circuit which monitors V+ during power-on, and generates an internal reset pulse around 0.8 to 1V. The device will be ready to communicate as soon as the V+ reaches the stated 1.4V minimum supply. 26-35ms later, the first conversion will complete, and temperature information will be available.

    Yes, you can use the default configuration if the ALERT pin is floating or connected to ground. The ALERT pin should never be connected to supply.

    We want to ask more detail.

    -Could you teach me the attached ??V and ??ms spec?
    -We don't need to write initial configuration if the ALERT pin is floating or connected to ground. Is my understanding correct?

    The TMP112 Datasheet description requires a pullup resistor, so I would like to confirm the ALERT pin configuration.

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    <0.1V and 10ms should be sufficient. This is not a guaranteed spec.

    Your understanding of ALERT configuration is correct.

    A pull-up resistor is not required on ALERT pin if you don't use the ALERT pin functionality.

    Hi, Ren,

    Doesn't the time(0.1ms) reset when the voltage bccomes 0.1V>? I means that there is possibility to have a noise more than 0.1V when the system is Power-up Reset. Please see the attached image.

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    By definition, the noise you describe violates the hypothetical spec of 0.1V. It would be customer responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
