AWR1243: AGC implementation

Hi,

The picture attached shows that there is an AGC implemented in IF section. While in none of the documents there is a description and usage of the same.

Please mention the purpose of AGC implemented at this stage and can it be controlled externally?

We do not provide direct access to the AGC. Can you elaborate on your application and what you are trying to do?

Hi Adrian,

We want to understand the usage of AGC implemented.
This is required to understand the effect of target amplitude.
Does AGC makes the amplitude conditioning based on wide frequency range after calibration?
Is there any means to observe AGC action or correction implemented along with RAW ADC data?

Hello Andy,

Sorry for the delayed response. I have learned that there is no ACG on the RX path. The RX gain is fixed based on the user configuration in the profile config and is not changed based on signal amplitude or range.

Can you let us know where you found that diagram?
