Sharon,

Please ensure that you have jumpers across both SOP0 and SOP2. This is the required configuration of the SOP pins when flashing an application binary to the device. Once the device is flashed, remove SOP2 and keep SOP0 on the board.

Hi Kyle,

Yes, I have used jumpers across SOP0 and SOP2. Im getting an error message saying "Image loading failed , not able to connect to the serial port"

Sharon,

Please make you close any other applications that may be trying to access the COM ports for the IWR1642 at the same time that Uniflash is trying to program the device.

Hi Kyle,

All the other applications were closed before performing flash operation, the error displayed is - [ERROR] Cortex_R4_0. I have attached the error message, please go through and let me know what has to be done.

Hi Sharon,

Please make sure you have:

Jumpers on SOP0 and SOP2
Power Cycle the Device
Ensure the "UART" COM port is selected in Uniflash.

Remove the space after COM4. Is your jumper configuration correct?

Please remove the jumper on SOP2 and follow the instructions in the quickstart guide linked above.

Hi Justin,

I removed the SOP2 Jumper. Now I am importing the lab project, I downloaded the CSS from Resource Explorer, but the files are not getting downloaded. It shows only till 88%, is there a problem in CCS.

Hi Sharon,

You need to download the Industrial Toolbox. CCS is not required to run the precompiled version of People Counting.

Once the Industrial Toolbox is downloaded, you will be able to access the labs section - it sounds like you already have this if you have Flashed the EVM with the Software.

If your EVM is flashed with the People Counting Software, you just need to run the Matlab GUI to initialize the sensor and view the output.

Hi Sharon,

You do not need to run the demo with CCS. The binary you flashed is a standalone executable. Instead of using CCS, simply Powercycle the board and run the Matlab GUI.

Hi Justin,

Alright. I followed the instructions from the guide, After flashing the ports , I was able to view the GUI. is that all the demo is? or Should I perform any customization to perform the people counting demo? I tried flashing the ports again but not able to do so, since I followed the steps from the guide and flashed the EVM with xwr16xx_ccsdebug.bin image.
