TIDEP-0092: SRR application: How to increase MAX_NUM_DET_PER_RANGE_GATE?

Part Number: TIDEP-0092

Hi team,

SDK: mmwave_sdk_02_00_00_04

Application: mmwave_industrial_toolbox_2_4_0/lab0012_srr_16xx

Our requirement: SRR mode only.

Question:

1. We know the findKLargestPeaks() will find the K larger doppler bin to caculate the maximum velocity by fast-chrip and slow-chirp.

Is it possible to increase the K value and what the maximum of the K is?

2. If we cannot extend the K value, do you have any idea that we can get more detect object in each range gate?

Thanks.

    Hello Weks,

Can you clarify why you only want SRR mode? The purpose of this mode is to have less detected objects.
Alternatively, you could run USRR mode only if you want a denser point cloud.

Is this related to this other thread? e2e.ti.com/.../720428

  • Hi Amanda,

Because we need to calculate the maximum velocity of each detected object to reach our specification.

Is it possible to perform "maximum velocity enhancement using dissimilar chirps and the chinese remainder thorem"  in USRR point-cloud mode with SRR chirp configuration?

If yes, how do we to do it?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

If you just need increased max velocity you can redefine the USSR point cloud mode to have the same chirp as the SRR chirp.
Can you clarify what your is your velocity specification?
