TDC1000: TDC1000

Part Number: TDC1000

Hello,

I'm currently using the TDC1000 as the driving chip for an ultrasonic transducer driver.
I can attach a schematic and scope screenshots if needed.
The current problem is that there is a "TRIGGER" and "START" signal, but not a "STOP" signal. so the TOF cannot be calculated.

Thank you,

  • Madeleine,

Please send me the input conditions of our setup. I will need to verify your settings for this issue. Also let me know the distance/medium & transducer frequency of our setup.
  • Hi Bharat, I've attached the schematic for the circuit. It is driven by the STM32F469IGH6 microcontroller.

The sensor body is 50mm and the medium is air. The frequency of the clock is 1MHz.

I've also attached screenshots of the CLKIN, TRIGGER, START, and Tx signal

    CLKIN:

    START:

    Tx:

    TRIGGER:

  • Madeleine,

Please use ultrasonic frequency transducers of lesser frequencies for measuring TOF through air. Use Freq in the ranges 50Khz to 600Khz.

Also make sure the transducer is firmly attached and rightly oriented such that it can receive the Rx signals.
