TMP235: TMP235 output capacitor

Yes, the filtering is meant for Sample and Hold Circuits of a typical integrated ADC that most MCU's have. What is the cutoff frequency for the Low Pass Filter you plan to use and why is the cutoff frequency set as what it is? If you can provide some information, it would be much useful.

thanks for the response. I am looking for a RC-filter cut off arround 100 to 300 Hz.

Is the maximum output capacitor only specified for a C directly connected to the output driver? So can I increase this value by adding a series resistor? I found other designs with the TMP235, like the TIDA www.ti.com/.../tidry62.pdf. Here the TMP235 is connected with 10 Ohms, 0.1uF.

Do you have concerns connecting it with:
1k;1 uF?

can you give some further details on the failure mechanisim. In my understanding, if I would add a Filter resistor of at least 2k Ohms, there should be no osscilation at the output, even if I add a bigger capacitor.

Hello Mat,

There is no failure mechanism here. The specification for the sensor output is with Cload of 1000 pF maximum. Exceeding the Cload may not guarantee if one or more of the parameters will hold valid as per the datasheet specified value.
