OPT101: while using the opt101 i amgetting the negative peaks with my positive signal, will there be any problem of durability of opt101?

i am using opt101 to detect my pulsating light source , i am using single supply configuration and i am getting my signal in this config. but in addition to my positive signals i am also getting a negative peaks. because of this will there be any problem of durability of opt101 after using for long time in such condition?

i have operated this in dual supply also, this resolves this issue of negative peaks but increases the noise and my signal is barely visible and the software is unable to calculate the SIGNAL properties.
