AWR1642BOOST: Cannot read property 'DS' of undefined

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, AWR1642

Hello,

During image flashing with UniFlash(4.6.0.2176) we are getting 'Cannot read property 'DS' of undefined' error - the issue happens intermittently.

We tried all the things described in below posts but no luck:

e2e.ti.com/.../740576
http://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/690363

So, I'm attaching the UniFlash log here:

  • Hi James,
Could you try these points along with the other thread suggestions
    1. Are you facing this issue with specific device(EVM) and on specific PC? Try other EVM and/or PC.
    2. Does reinstalling uniflash help with this issue?
    3. Did you try Online (browser based) Uniflash?

    Regards,
    Jitendra
  • Hi Jitendra,

    Please see my answers below:

    1. Are you facing this issue with specific device(EVM) and on specific PC? Try other EVM and/or PC.
: Not on a specific EVM or PC
    2. Does reinstalling uniflash help with this issue?
        : No
    3. Did you try Online (browser based) Uniflash?
: The same issue was found both on offline/online Uniflash

FYI, the issue was cleared temporarily when we initialize the USB and COM port by removing the devices from Windows device manager but the issue comes again eventually - it seems there are some conflicts between Uniflash and Windows device manager.

    Regards,

    James

  • James,
Have you tried opening the UNIFLASH under administrative mode? Can you check if this will help? Do you see any error logs int he UNIFLASH console.

Can you also check the part number just to make sure the part variant?
