IWR6843AOPEVM: Uniflash and error Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'DS')

Part Number: IWR6843AOPEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, IWR6843AOP

Tool/software:

Hi all,

there have been a few posts about the error Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'DS').

I have just moved to a new computer (all previous laptops did not have this issue), but I am now getting the above error on all installed versions of uniflash (e.g. 9.0 and 8.8) as well as the cloud version, when trying to flash for example an IWR6843AOP.

Not sure if there is some security setting getting in the way.

Here is the GUI log:

But I cannot figure out how to get the ds.log out.

Can someone help on what is missing?

Thanks!

  • Hi all,

the Windows machine in use is Windows 11.

    Regards,

    --Gunter

  • Hi Gunter,

Can you try reverting to an older version of Uniflash. Santosh was seeing a similar issue so I'll assign him here.

    Best,

    Nate

  • Hello Gunter.

I uninstalled the application, reinstalled it, and shut down my computer and then turned it back on, and it seemed to resolve the issue.

    Sincerely,

    Santosh

  • Hi Santosh and Nate,

first I tried uniflash 8.6, and that also failed with the following GUI log.

Previously tried 8.8 and 9.0 on laptop, and 9.0 on cloud, all failed with same error

I feel like, something is fundamentally not working, some timeout timing or race condition. What could be the root cause?

Let me try to uninstall all uniflash versions, then shut down, then install 8.6, shut down, then retest.

One more question: Can you send me the correct dslite command line for the IWR6843AOP to use the CLI instead of the GUI and test this?

    Regards,

    --Gunter

  • Hi Santosh,

unfortunately, after un-installing all uniflash versions, restarting the computer, then installing uniflash 8.6, restarting the computer again, and then testing, it leads to the same error

    Error!
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'DS')

    What could cause this?

If you have the appropriate dslite command, I can test with just the CLI.

    Thanks!

  • Hello Gunter.

I also tried restarting my PC and it didn't work; I had to specifically shut down and then turn the PC back on.  Not sure why that worked, but please see if that works for you.

    Sincerely,

    Santosh
