PGA300: PGA300 4-20mA output,rigister set by PC ,communication error。

Part Number: PGA300
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00788,

I have bought PGA300EVM, which can be configured by computer. And according to TIDA-00788 made pcb, I want to connect TIDA-00788 PCB to EVM for configuration, while unplugging the PGA300 chip on PGA300EVM, how should the two lines of PCB be connected to EVM? I am now connected to TP20 and TP2 or TP3, set to current mode.Communication with PC was unsuccessful。

  • Hello Poster!

Our support staff is taking time with their families for the Independence Day holiday here in the US.  It may be July 8th before we can get back to you with help on your query.  We apologize in advance for the delay and will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Hello Zhang,

The VDD of your board should be connected to the VPWR pin on the EVM (TP20), and the ground should be connected to FB- (TP41). Make sure that JP12 is closed (for OWI communication) and JP 11 and JP13 are open.

You will have to adjust the additional voltage and series resistance values on the GUI based on the circuit you are using. Use the additional voltage to add a constant voltage to the OWI signal to account for diode drops, and adjust the series resistance to account for additional loop resistance on your board.

    Regards,
