PGA460PSM-EVM: Connection with MSP430F5529LP

Part Number: PGA460PSM-EVM

Hi,

My customer's PS460PSM-EVM was broken by following GND connection(blue line).

In datail, R2 was destroied

Before this rooting(dividing GND with MSP430F5529LP) the EVM was alive.

(However signal couldn't be captured correctly).

Is this connection inappropriate?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Tadahiko-san,

Yes, the PGA460PSM-EVM GND should be tied to the LaunchPad GND for a common ground.

    The UART connections are correct.

Has the R2 resistor been replaced after becoming damaged?

What is the exact problem with the EVM?

Does the PGA460PSM-EVM draw approximately 12mA of current when the power supply is on?
