Hi,
Are there any guidelines on mm-Wave Antenna design?
Is it possible to achieve more range with AWR1843 for measuring heart rate, respiration rate?
How about IWR6483 on this application? (Antenna on Package).
Hello,
Please refer this document for antenna design guideline
http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spracg5/spracg5.pdf?ts=1588679395809
As per device capability it can view much longer distance (~180m). But for longer range it would have more noise or other objects in the scene of heart beat.
You need to implement more intelligent algorithm to detect human heartbeat/breathing rate for longer range.
Given application is a proof of concept and capable of short distance only to detect heartbeat/breathing rate.
IWR6843 AoP can also be used for this purpose which required porting of existing application to that device and antenna pattern.

Jitendra
Thank you.
So with the IWR6843 AoP Evaluation board, we could test this? (http://www.ti.com/tool/IWR6843AOPEVM#0 )
And

This example could be used for the IWR6843 AoP Evaluation board( as description says the example-based on IWR6543 ES2.0 only.?
Hi Lakshminarayana,
The Vital Signs Lab is only for IWR6843AoP ES1.0. I believe you will need to use the IWR6843AoPEVM with the MMWAVEICBOOST for the VItal Signs lab specifically.

AG
Hi,
okay, Thank you.
May I know test setup details are done on IWR6843AoPEVM Like mainly range? (Like if you've seen at what distance it accuracy was way off).
