Hi,

We are using IWR6843 in our project.

This product is using 60 to 64 GHz frequency band.

Could you let us know whether this frequency band is released in India for commercial use?

Could you also confirm this chip will be available in India for purchase with tentative timeline?

    Hello Senthilkumar K,

    For the regulation and allowed spectrum question you would have to refer to local frequency allocation spectrum. Considering this band is available for ISM applications in US and Europe  we would not  be surprised that Indian regulation would follow suit, however please refer to latest information for allowed usage in India.

    The device as well EVM are available to purchase in India as well. Please let us know if you are unable to do so.

    Thanks for your response.

    Can this devices be deployed in homes, hospitals and office permises where the humans are continuously exposed to mmwave radiation?

    We read some third-party orticle where it can create irritation in eyes and the top layer skin may be heated due to continuous expose to mmwave rf radiation.

    We are planning for hospital applications and bit worrying whether this radiation is acceptable for pregnant women and new borns.

    Hi,

    Per European safety standards, EN 62311, The device was tested and safe for use beyond 20cm from the user. This does not suggest or include any test particular to pregnant women and babies.

    Can you please review the standard to determine if the safety test and guidelines is adequate for your use case? I will also recommend contacting the regulatory body in your region about your safety concerns as they are the experts on the subject matter.
