BOOSTXL-TUSS4440: What are the specs (frequency, beam width etc) of the bundled transducer with the BOOSTXL-TUSS4440?

Part Number: BOOSTXL-TUSS4440

Hello,

I'm experimenting with the bundled transducer but I am unsure of its specs and find no mention of it in documentation, can you please supply a Datasheet?

Also, what is the polarity of the green connectors for the transducer on the board?

Thank you

  • Hi Zak,

The transducer included with the BOOSTXL-TUSS4440 is the 40 kHz PUI Audio UTR-1440K-TTR. This part number is listed "Table 8. Bill of Materials for BOOSTXL-TUSS4440" of the User's Guide as component designator U2.

When looking at the face of the green connector, the terminal on the left is the positive terminal, and the terminal on the right is the negative/ground terminal. It may be hard to see, but there is a small "+" symbol on the board towards the edge next to the left terminal. You can see the symbol more clearly on "Figure 24. Top Overview of BOOSTXL-TUSS44x0 Layout and Components" of the User's Guide.

  • Thank you for the fast response Akeem!

Could I suggest the name of the transducer is added to section 2.1.1

I can determine the positive terminal on the board from your comment but I can't for the life of me see the small "+" you mention!
