BOOSTXL-TUSS4440: How do I use launchxl-cc2640 to control the boostxl tuss4440 on the EVM GUI?

The default launchpad suggested for driving the boostxl is MSPEXP430F5529LP . However I have the LAUNCHXL-CC2640. How can I program the device through the XDS110?

Hi Tushar,

The BOOSTXL-TUSS4440 EVM GUI can only be run on the MSP-EXP430F5529LP hardware.

However, you can run the TUSS44x0 Energia Library and Code Example on all LaunchPads, including the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 (assuming this board is LaunchPad-BoosterPack pinout compatible). Refer to the TUSS44x0 Software Development Guide for details to understand the example code.

Hi Akeem

I don't see the CC2640 board in the boards manager of Energia. Should I use another one like the CC3220 which might be similar to the CC2640 launchpad in structure?

Hi Tushar,

Yes, you can attempt to use the CC3200 WiFi LaunchPad (CC3200-LAUNCHXL) for Energia compatibility of the TUSS44x0 firmware library code examples.
