Hi,
I started with mmWave and get problems after configuring the DCA1000EVM. The IWR6843AOP ES1.0 successfully connects to mmWave Studio through the carrier board mmWaveICBoost. However, I get no ADC data even though the DAC1000EVM is configured correctly. The network interface is configured correctly and mmWave Studio also recognizes the DCA1000EVM. After triggering the frame, the studio hangs for 30 seconds and no data is recorded and spits a timeout error. Can you help me compare all the correct switch settings and the correct firmware versions?
With the IWR6843AOP ES2.0 the SPI cannot be connected, is there a new version of the firmware?
A second problem is, testing with the demo script crashes when transferring the MSS (see picture).
For my understanding the User Guides are not detailed enough at important points.
Regards,
Max
HI, Max:
There is a handbook for the problems for raw data capture, please take a look.
For AOP ES2 board, you need to use the firmware released in the radar studio 2.1.0.0 and after. You should check the release notes in each radar studio version and find which device it support.
Best,
Zigang
Hi,
I have solved the problem (AOP ES1.0) by selecting 77 GHz instead of 60 Ghz when connecting. This allowed me to record the raw data from the ADC. This seems to be a bug in mmWave Studio or in the firmware. It gives me an error when I try to set the operating frequency to 60 GHz.
Regards
Max
The IWR6843AOP is not listed in the Release Notes.
I moved the second problem to a new thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/932246
