BOOSTXL-TUSS4440: VDRV_READY bit error on TUSS G III EVM GUI with BOOSTXL-TUSS4440 with MSP-EXP430F5529LP

I have an error on TUSS G III EVM GUI. It's VDRV_READY in a red back color.

I assembled BOOSTXL-TUSS4440 with a transducer and MSP-EXP430F5529LP as was instructed in the user guide. I installed the EVM GUI and connected the assembled kit to my laptop. Then I upgraded the firmware.

The screen shot of the EVM GUI is below.

There is no solutions for this error on the user guide. How can I fix this problem?

Hi Kyle,

By default, the VDRV pin of the TUSS44x0 device always starts-up in a high-impedance (Hi-Z) state. You need to go to the Data Monitor page and set the VDRV_HI_Z bit to "Not HiZ". This will clear the VDRV Rdy status bit to 0.

Please refer the TUSS44x0 EVM-GUI Overview video found at the bottom of the Ultrasonic E2E FAQ page here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/748143 . This video shows you how to clear the VDRV Rdy bit and how to configure other values of the device for proper operation.
