I am attempting to verify the behavior of writing to EEPROM then cycling power to load EEPROM data back in to the control registers. I am using a Total Phase aardvark to talk directly to the PGA411 over SPI through the header pins brought out in on J11. The usb is connected so the mcu is powered off. I am experiencing strange behavior in general without SPI. The module enter fault mode randomly with no clear reason as to why. If the module is stable. I am unable to consistently send SPI commands. In keeping with the datasheet I am ultimately unable to enter diagnostic mode, enter the unlock sequence within 10 ms, write to the EEPROM then program the prom. Has anyone seen similar behavior? Is there a fix for this?
