TMCS1100: IEC-J60950

Part Number: TMCS1100

Hello team,

Is DTI at 60um same with the thick of the stuff for isolation ?

And TMCS is applied to the isolation of IEC-J60950 or reinforced isolation ?

Thank you and best regards,

Michiaki

  • Hello Michiaki,

Thanks for reaching out on the forum.  I need to verify with packaging, but I am pretty sure that Distance through the insulation (DTI) is equivalent of how thick the non-conductive material is between the load side leadframe and the output side pins or how wide the direct distance is between those conductive paths.

I will check with our systems team, but as we do not mention having or planning to have the IEC-J6095 certification in our datasheet, I do not think the TMCS1100 has that or will have that.

  • Hello Michiaki,

After discussing this with my team, the 60um would encompass a layer of mold compound and a few layers of polyamide between the high voltage lead frame and the die.

According to our systems engineer said that the IEC-62368-1 we recently obtained is a merger of the older standards IEC 60950-1 for electrical equipment and IEC 60065 for audio and video equipment.  We should be updating the datasheet to indicate we have the IEC-62368-1 in the next few weeks.
