IWR1642BOOST: Error in UniFlash -- Cannot read property 'DS' of undefined

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,

I` m now trying to flash the demo executable (C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_01_02_00_05\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\mmw\xwr16xx_mmw_demo.bin) to on-board Serial Flash on IWR1642BOOST, but i saw the error of "Cannot read property 'DS' of undefined" when loading the image. It looked like this:

What should i do for next ?

Please note:
- IWR1642BOOST (ES1.0 device mounted) connected Windows 10 PC via USB cable and 5V powered.
- mmwave_sdk_01_02_00_05 has been installed to its default path
- UniFlash Version: 4.3.1.1835 (Latest) has been installed to its default path
- SOP2 has been put on the board for flashing
- Latest FTDI driver has been installed (2.12.28) and validated that Windows 10(64bit) Device Manager detected two COM ports correctly, and now using XDS110 Class Application/User UART port for UniFlash

Best Regards,
NK

  • To be exact, I`ve put SOP0 and SOP2 on the board for flashing and also I`ve configured 115200baud, 8bit, no parity, 1bit for stop bit and no flow control for XDS110 Class Application/User UART port in device manger. But unfortunately, i did not help. Also, in my case, XDS110 Class Application/User UART is assigned to COM3, so i just filed the port as is in UniFlash Tool.

  • Resolved when I rebooted the PC again and again ...
  • Once resolved, but not stable. To be stable for UniFlashing, in my case, disconnecting my wired or wifi network, and do flashing and then it worked perfectly. I`m not sure why UniFlash (Not cloud version) is related to network, but actually it was a workaround for me.
  • Hi Naoki,

I'm glad you got it resolved. If you have more questions then feel free to open up a new thread!
