TIDEP-0091: Sleep state and power consumption

Hello,

Currently I am taking measurements in TIDEP-0091 by sending 's' everytime I want. I would like to put the system in SLEEP in between each measurement. Do I achieve it by sending 'p' (SLEEP) and 'w' (Wakeup) every time? What is the current (roughly its order) consumed by whole system during SLEEP state.

Hi Prudhvi,

It should be zero or very close to zero because all power has been cut to the IWR1443 Device.

Hi Prudhvi,

When you perform the step measurement ('s') this will immediately cut power to the device after range has been computed and transmitted. You do not need to run a power up or power down in order to do this.

In the Design Guide on page 18 there is a scope shot that shows the current waveform and how power is completely turned off after the measurement is taken. www.ti.com/.../tidud26b.pdf
