DCA1000 + AWR1843BOOST debugging problem

hi engineers,

when i was doing the "DCA1000+AWR1843BOOST" data capturing and debugging, i do one by one as the video shown。but when i go to the DataConfig  Page,the following issues arise:

  • Hi,

    From your log, it looks like you are using the wrong BSS firmware image.

    Please use the xwr18xx_radarss_rprc.bin file from mmWave SDK 3.2.0.4 (available here: )

    The firmware image is available in the "C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_02_00_04\firmware\radarss" directory after installing the SDK.

    hi, 

    I do as you say, but the result is the same.

    First,the BSS firmware image I used is "*:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_00_00_02\rf_eval_firmware\radarss\xwr18xx_radarss.bin", then output the error above。

    Second, I load the BSS firmware image you syay“*:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_02_00_04\firmware\radarss\xwr18xx_radarss_rprc.bin”, then the same mistake happened.

    Okay, you can use the "*:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_00_00_02\rf_eval_firmware\radarss\xwr18xx_radarss.bin" file, that is better for now.

    Can you try the following:

    1) Populate the SOP0 and SOP2 jumpers on the AWR1842 BOOST board and use the Uniflash tool to erase the flash.

    2) Then populate only the SOP0 and SOP1 jumpers and try again.

    Please post the complete log file here if it does not work this time.

    In the output window ,there is a sentence "[RadarAPI]: RS232 is not connected ..!!!!", but it shows not as the error information. And in the first config page-"Connected " ,the "RS232 Connectivity Status" is shown "Connected". Can this say, the RS232 is ok or not?   Is that what caused the problem?

    And I see other people's questions, their output window is same as mine.

    There seems to be an issue in the "Data path" configuration . The value "1216644097" = 0x48848401 indicates the an invalid "Packet 0 content selection" 

    As per your setting:

    DATA_TRANS_FMT_PKT0 = 0x84  (b7:6 = 1 0 and b5:0 = 000100) , b5:0 do not correspond to any valid values. Please see below the valid values.

    b5:0 - Packet 0 content selection
    000001 - ADC
    000110 - CP_ADC (See note at the bottom of this table)
    001001 - ADC_CP
    110110 - CP_ADC_CQ (See note at the bot- tom of this table)
    b7:6 - Packet 0 virtual channel number (valid only for CSI2)
    00 - Virtual channel number 0 (Default)
    01 - Virtual channel number 1
    10 - Virtual channel number 2
    11 - Virtual channel number 3

    What are you trying to set in the data path configuration?
