As mentioned in this document of the Imaging Radar Using Cascaded mmWave Sensor Reference Design, the speed expansion algorithm can reach 113km/h by using the document parameters to measure the speed. May I ask how to do it ? TDM_MIMO? Is there any relevant information for reference

Hi user6136031,

There is an implementation example of the V-max extension included with the Radar SDK Out of Box Demo. http://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVE-SDK. This is not directly applicable to the Cascade TDMA MIMO frames, but can be used to get you started.

That's not what I mean,for TIDEP-01012, The tdm-mimo system is used for target speed detection by setting normal waveform parameters. How to use the speed expansion algorithm to expand the maximum non-fuzzy speed to twice?Is there any introduction to the speed expansion algorithm?

Hi user6136031,

We do not have the exact source for the exact cascaded, TDMA-MIMO velocity extension published anywhere.

Hi Randy，

I've seen the speed expansion method mentioned in the above link. I want to know if there are other algorithms;for the documentation of imaging Radar Using Cascaded mmWave Sensor Reference Design ,The original content of the last paragraph of chapter 3.4.1.3 on page 19 is the following sentence: the details of maximum velocity extension and phase compensation will be discussed in a separate section. so I wonder where can I find the specific details of maximum velocity extension ?

Hi user6136031,

I see that in section 3.4.1.3. Let me check on that and get back to you. If we did include more information I do not think it would be significantly different from the v-max extension example provided in the SDK OOB or the reference e2e post above.

I checked with the authors of that section of the imaging radar TI design. There is a pending update with more information on that v-max implementation. Should be out soon.
