TMP75: Asking for the design TMP75 schematic and layout review

Part Number: TMP75
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP1075

Hi Team,

Customer is designing TMP75 on the new project.

Would you please provide comment on schematic and layout review?

Here is schematic and layout file link.

  • Hi SHH,

Thanks for your post. For the schematic, they do not need 10k pull-ups on the address pin. I would recommend using 0-ohms just like they are doing to connect to ground, and leaving undesired resistors as NC. They may also want to take a look at the TMP1075, which is a pin-to-pin and software compatible update for the TMP75.

For the layout, what temperature are they trying to measure with the TMP75? It looks like they have the device adjacent to some higher voltage (24V) components. If these will be dissipating a relatively high amount of power then the TMP75 will be detecting heat from these components. This is fine if that the is intended use of the TMP75.

    Best Regards,
