I ran into this problem a while ago, and somehow it managed to get fixed. Now I'm on a new PC, and I have everything I need installed (I think). I have mmWave Studio 2.1.0.0, MATLAB Runtime Engine 8.5.1 (32-bit), the separate FTDI drivers folder, Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 package (32-bit), and I keep running into this error message:

[10:06:23] Unable to load DLL 'RadarLinkDLL.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

I have checked the C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_00_00\mmWaveStudio\RunTime directory, and the RadarLinkDLL file is there. I have updated all of the necessary drivers using the separate download provided, and I have restarted my computer. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, yet nothing seems to work. I checked with my previous computer, and it's not the hardware, it's a software issue that I can't figure out.

This thread is the previous one I started when this was first an issue. I have tried all of the potential solutions, and nothing seems to work.

Benjamin,

Try updating the FTDI drivers using this driver instead of the one that comes included in mmWave Studio:

https://software-dl.ti.com/ra-processors/esd/MMWAVE-SDK/03_03_00_03/exports/ftdi_driver_2_12.zip

Make sure to connect your DCA1000EVM and radar EVM to your PC and make sure the Windows Device manager locates and installs the drivers. Make sure all 6 COM ports (2 for the radar EVM and 4 for the DCA1000EVM) are visible in Windows Device Manager before launching mmWave Studio.

I used the ZIP folder given in the link to update the drivers, and I'm still getting the same error message.

Benjamin,

The (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) error that is coming up on your PC appears to be a broader Windows issue that would be specific to your PC configuration. I found this issue popping in a variety of scenarios with a cursory internet search. I would refer you to those resources as your particular issue has not really been observed by the broader E2E audience using mmWave Studio.

I think I found the solution to the issue by downloading various Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages (x86). I'm not sure which version did the trick, but one of them (or maybe multiple packages) fixed the issue.
