TMUX1574: LVDS mux

Part Number: TMUX1574
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90LV048A, DS90LV047A, TMUX1575

Hi,

Can TMUX1574 work as LVDS mux?

Driver is DS90LV047A and receiver is DS90LV048A.

Customer use LVDS driver for uni-direction so one direction of LVDS mux is not needed.

So 2 units of TMUX1574 or TMUX1575 are considered.

Thanks.

  • Hi David,

I have a few questions just to get some clarity before I can recommend a device.

What is the voltage and current seen at the input of the mux?

I am not sure what the 2 units are being used for, can you expand more on the application or share a schematic if you are able to?

    Thanks,

    Raj

  • Hi Arora,

Because DS90LV047A and DS90LV048A work at 3.3V so input is 0 to 3.3V differential signal.

block diagram is simple as below.

  • Hi David,

Based on this application, the TMUX1574 would work for this, given the large bandwidth (2 GHz) and input signal range

Depending on the switching rate, another devices that would also work for this application would be:

TMUX1575: Smaller package, 1.8 GHz bandwidth, low Con

Both of these devices would work with LVDS.

    Hope this answers your questions!

    Best,

    Raj
