TS5A23159: Can you please confirm that it is okay to apply 1.8V to NC, NO, or COM even when VCC = 0V.

Part Number: TS5A23159

E2E,

I'm looking at the TS5A23159RSER switch and had a question about its off-isolation. Can you please confirm that it is okay to apply 1.8V to NC, NO, or COM even when VCC = 0V? It looks like worst leakage in this case is 20uA, but I want to confirm that in the Absolute Maximum Ratings section, where it says V_NC/V_NO/V_COM MAX is VCC+0.5V that this does not mean I cannot apply voltage on these pins when VCC=0V. Can you help confirm the understanding is correct here?

Thank you,

Adam

  • Hello Adam,

The VI/O pins (COM, NC, NO) can be subjected to voltages from 0V to 5.5V when the supply Vcc = 0V. The abs max condition would apply to cases where Vcc does not equal 0V.

The INC(PWROFF), INO(PWROFF) and ICOM(PWROFF) parametric specifications from the electrical characteristics table specify the maximum current the switch will leak under this condition and the numbers are in the range of +/-1uA at 25C and +/-20uA at full operating temperature.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Thank you,

    Regards,
