TS3A27518E: Hyperlynx model, can only set pins to Input

Part Number: TS3A27518E

Tool/software:

Hello, I have the IBIS model for part TS3A27518ERTWR. I am working on signal integrity analysis in Hyperlynx. I am trying to do signal integrity for some signals that are routed through this switch, while the switch is closed. It seems to only let me simulate the switch as open, aka when the pins (all pins, COM, NC, and NO) are inputs, and the switch is terminating them. The only option I seem to be given in model select is the Vcc voltage. Is there a way to change this behavior within the model? Thank you.

  • Analog switches are not buffered; the COM/NC/NO pins are neither inputs nor outputs.

The IBIS model does contain information about the on-resistance of the switches. If the only option shown in your software is "input" (which applies only to the control pins), then that software is not capable of modelling a switch correctly.
