TS3DV642RUAR layout question

What is the maximum data rate going to be for your application?

It's hard to give you an exact figure on what kind of performance issues you can expect but generally at higher frequencies the signal loss from just the board itself is much less with Rogers when compared to FR-4. This being said we have seen successful applications for HDMI 1.4a use FR-4 with no issues.

Hello Sharwari,

Using FR-4 for HDMI 1.4a should not be an issue.  Do not follow the layout exactly.  If you are using a different material you will need to calculate the proper trace width and coupling distance to give you the correct differential impedance for the channel.

I have attached our schematics and the layout of our current board using the TS3DV642.

Can you please let us know if we have violated anything here?

We had to use FR-4 material for the other circuitry.

HDMI circuits are pages 8 and 10.
