Discrepancy in datasheet

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24392, BQ24392-Q1, BQ24382

We are trying to layout the BQ24392 and weren't able to find any recommended PCB footprint. When pointed to the mpqf186c.pdf, the data sheet calls out UQFN (10), and the drawing says:  R-PUQFN-N10.  I just want to be really sure so that I don’t have to throw away expensive PCBs.

Please confirm.
Thanks,

  • Hi TI Lady,

The pdf points to this being either the BQ24392 or BQ24392-Q1. Is BQ24382 the correct part number?

Also, since this is a Battery Management device, I think we should move this to the Battery Management Forum. I'm going to assign the Business Unit and someone with access from this group or the BM group should answer it.

    Thank you,

    Trenton Reed
  • yes sorry bq24392 and oops i thought i had posted in the battery forum...thank you.
  • yes, this is the correct document:   www.ti.com/lit/ml/mpqf186c/mpqf186c.pdf

And from page 1 of the datasheet: BQ24392 UQFN (10) 2.05 mm × 1.55 mm, which matches the mechanical dwg.

  • Yes Leanard is correct.  The RSE in the upper left hand corner of the mechanical drawing will match the suffix at the end of the orderable part number.  This datasheet was recently revised earlier this week but the package drawing addendum hasn't gone through the system correctly as you have indicated.  We are currently working on getting this resolved.  I apologize for the delay.

    Thank you,

    Adam
