TS12A12511 Capacitance vs Temperature

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS12A12511

Hi Team,

Do we have any input/output capacitance vs Temperature data for the TS12A12511?

Thanks!

,Nabeel

  • Hello Nabeel,

    Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately, after reviewing the char data, it looks like the input/output capacitance spec was not taken over temperature.

May I ask why you like to know this information? Perhaps I can help you get different information that can be helpful.

    Best regards,

    Jared

  • I've got more information about this.

"I’m staking up a few of these in series as part of an impedance measurement using a 100kHz test signal, but their input/output capacitance has a typical spec of 60pF.  I’ve got a way I can compensate/calibrate the measurements, but I want to know how much this capacitance can change over our operating temp (0 to 50 is fine)."

Any other thoughts for this circuit?

  • Hi Mike,

How are you using the capacitance in your measurements? What kind of compensation/calibration are you talking about?

    Regards,

    Jared

  • The capacitance isn't used or desired.  We compensate by switching in known resistance values before and after the measurements and are doing a radiometric measurement vs an absolute measurement, so we can compensate/calibrate out non-idealities in the measurement.

  • Hello Mike,

If the capacitance isn't used in your impedance test, what value does it add to know how capacitance changes over temp? I am just trying to understand, in more detail, what you are trying to get at.

    Regards,

    Jared
