High Speed Dual supply mux

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX6119, TMUX1109

Hi,

We are looking for a high speed mux with dual supply. It should have capability to switch output into 1nF of load with <300ns rise/fall times.

Please suggest a suitable TI part.

Regards

Gaurav

  • Hi Gaurav,

Thanks for reaching out on E2E!

Unfortunately we don't have any high speed power mux devices. Most of our devices have controlled slew rates to help manage the inrush current and prevent stress to the downstream load. Are you looking for a power mux or a signal mux device? What are your operating conditions?

    Thanks,
    Arthur Huang
  • Dear Arthur,

We are looking for a low current (~10mA) signal mux only. We shall need to switch between two negative input voltages, so a dual supply mux is needed. Output load may be max upto 1nF.

    Regards

    Gaurav

  • Gaurav,

What do you think about using the TMUX6119 device? This device is dual supply and on state capacitance is <10pF so your rise time will be based on your 1nF load.

    Thank you,
    Adam
  • Hi Adam,

This has an ON resistance of 120 ohm which I think is very high to achieve the desired rise and fall at the output. Please comment!.

Else, if you could provide the spice file, we can simulate in TINA and check.

    Regards

    Gaurav

  • Gaurav,

What is your desired on-state resistance?  The TMUX1109 device has lower on-state resistance.

Unfortunately we don't have a SPICE model available for the TMUX6119 device.

    Thank you,

    Adam

  • Gaurav,

Do you have any additional questions?

    Thank you,
    Adam
