looking for 50V switch

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX7219

Hi

I am looking for analog switch that can deliver 50V signal and can operate from 3.3V voltage the time of switching should be <1msec.

Does Ti have something like a relay in a IC form?

Thanks in advanced.

  • Hi Or Sam,

At the moment we currently don't have a switch that supports passing that signal voltage. Our highest voltage switch available can pass 44V through the switch - this is the TMUX7219.  It does require a supply voltage of 44V to pass 44V - but it can be controlled by as low as a 1.8V signal - this is the best we have that is set to release soon.

If you need a higher current device (> 500mA) the power management forum may be a better option as the signal signals/muxes are still low current, but I don't know if they have a higher voltage option as well.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will see what I can do!

    Best,

  • OK thanks,

Do you have a recommendation to a transistor that can do it?

    thanks,

  • Hi Or Sam,

I am not the best person to talk to about our FETs as I have more experience at IC level than I do at discrete transistor level - the power management forum may be your best bet: Power Management E2E Forum. However I will say even though we have FET's that can handle that signal level I am not sure if you will be able to control it from a low voltage signal - you will most likely need a comparable voltage on the gate to switch the FET.

    Best,

    Parker Dodson.
