MUX509: Supply Current when Disabled

Hi Team,

My customer is looking into the MUX509 for a 4-cell Li-Ion battery application (up to 16V) and would like to know what the mux supply current will be when the device is disabled (spec'd at 42uA when enabled). Can you please provide this info?

Hi Antonio,

I am assuming you mean the supply current when EN=0V. What are the other test conditions? ( Vdd/Vss, VA, VS)?

Why is this disabled supply current important for your application scenario?

Hi Helen,

Yes, with EN=0V. Vdd can be anywhere between 12V-16V, Vss=0V, address logic levels 3.3V and Vs can range between 0V-16V (each input will have a different voltage within this range). The mux is used as a dual 4:1.

This is a battery powered application where power consumption is very critical. The mux would only be enabled when needed assuming supply current is much lower when disabled.

Hi Antonio,
I tested some MUX509 samples with the set up we discussed, below are the results:
With EN=0V, Vdd =16V, Vss=0V, supply current is 40.49uA.
With EN=0V, Vdd =12V, Vss=0V, supply current is 39.47uA.
