My customer is looking for either 2:3 or 2:4 TMDS MUX for new ultrasound.

MAX3845 is being used in old platforms but I couldn’t find proper part to replace MAX3845.

Would you recommend right parts to replace MAX3845?

The MAX3845 device is an active device that can drive a bus and fan it out to different locations. The closest device I can think of is the TS3DS10224 device but it is a passive FET switch and cannot source or sink current.

Do you need to have the drive and FAN OUT ability?

I will send this to other teams to see if they have a cable driver device.

Hi Brian,

Customer is looking at TS3DV642 as HDMI 2:1 MUX as TI doesn't have 2x4 MUX.

They said that just switch function is required but there is no need of cable driver and DDC function.

Could you confirm if TS3DV642 would be fine for HDMI 2:1 MUX?

Yes, actually they need 2X4 MUX but they said either 1:3 MUX or 1:4 MUX is also fine.

TMDS361B is 3 to 1 mux, TS3DV642 can be 2 to 1 or 1 to 2.
