Hi Team,

My customer considers to use FSA644(MIPI switch) for his application.

Is there any TI devices that can replace it?
It is also required more than 1Gbps datarate can be achieve.

Kensuke-san,

I would recommend two devices TS3DV642 and TS3DV520E that are 1:2 mux, can switch >10 differential pairs, and >1Gbps capable.

Hello Adam,
Do we have any test results indicating successful use of TS3DV520E or TS3V712E for MIPI mux application?
One of my customer has requested for the same.

Mahendra,

Currently we do not have any test results of the TS3DV520E or TS3V712E used an in a MIPI application. I will contact the team responsible for these devices to see if they would be willing to test this for you.

What would you need TI to provide for testing MIPI application? Do you need a to see specific bandwidth, data patterns, etc.

we would like TI to test for MIPI application with 1920x1080p 60fps video input (till 3Gbps data BW)

Hello bhavesh,

I recommend using the HD3SS3212 which is a is a high-speed passive switch aimed for USB Type-C applications, however, since it operates up to 10Gbps it is suitable for your target bandwidth.

hi,

The suggested part is 2 lane.My requirement is for 4 data lane and 1 clock lane (total 5 lane) required for MIPI-CSI

Hello bhavesh,

Please, take a look at the HD3SS215 switch. This device meets the data rate , however, since it has not been tested in MIPI applications we can not guarantee the correct functionality. You will need to use the AUX signals to transmit the MIPI Clock.
