CCS/TMDSDSK6713: CCS

Part Number: TMDSDSK6713

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

What is the highest possible combination of CCS and Windows that supports DSK6713 through the the USB-JTAG emulator?

I was able to get up to CCS 6.1 under Win 7, but with the transition to Win 10 at our university this does not work anymore. I asked Spectrum Digital about a workaroud but they say I should install the most recent version of CCS and the drivers come with it. However CCS dropped support for TMS320C6713 starting CGT 8.0.0. At the same time DSK6713 is still an active product sold by TI.

I also have XDS560 PCI. Is it supported in CCS 7 and 8? With the latest upgrades of our PCs, I do not have a PCI slot in my computer. I could ask for a specific motherboard, but I need to be sure this is going to work.

I feel I am in a sort of a limbo now.

Best regards,

Adam

CCSv8 itself still supports the DSK6713. It is the compiler that CCS ships with that does not. But you can always install a version of the compiler that does (7.x and earlier):

This should still work. Driver support for it comes with CCSv7 & 8.

    Thanks

  • Thank you ki!

I downgraded the C6000 compiler to a pre 8.0.0 version and was able to build and run the project. Thanks a lot.
