CCS/CCSTUDIO: Compile TI SDK EVE module using CCS v9

Hi,Anshu :

I have referenced ''evesw_getting_started.pdf" to install the software componets (CCS, ARP32 tools....) .   I thought CCS is installed to open eve and compile. So at first i tried to use CCS to import EVE as CCS project ,it failed. 

Then i referenced "eve_starterware_userguide.pdf " and i directly opened eve folder with CCS and just use gmake command to compile under

the EVESW_install_path , however CCS couldn't indentify  gmake command*(gmake is not an internal command). So it really troubles me and i don't know how to compile eve.

If you  know this , please give me more information and tell me how to compile.

You mean i can install a gmake utility in CCS and use gmake command to compile.

Hi Hailiang,

    gmake comes as part of multiple components. If you install ccs typically it also asks you to install xdctools, check if you already have it then you can directly use it from there.

I have installed xdctools in CCS V9 where the install address is  D:\TI_EVEsoftware\ccs\xdctools_3_60_02_34_core. However CCS still can't identify gmake command. Do i need to congure sth?

   I have not used CCS to build but you can directly build EVE SW from the makefile provided. Just include xdctool to the PATH variable.

i use the windows os to compile. If we don't use an IDE like CCS, how to enter the gmake command like linux os , use dos? and makefile can't be opened?
