Hi all,
How can I remove the file specific build options in CCS 5.1.1?
Furthermore there seems to be a bug with folder specific build options:
When I specify the build options for a folder its icon changes but the build options I change will be used globally and vice versa, but if I change the build options for a file within this folder it seems that this is used for all files in this folder than, even if the build options for the folder are still the globally once.
Best Regards,
Christian
Hi Christian,
what do you mean by remove? Could you please be a bit more specific on what you would like to do?
The bug you mention is known. It has been filed with ID SDSCM00043779 and can be tracked here:
This was initially found to do with optimization settings.

Lisa
Hi Christian,
in CCSv4 and 5 each settings section has a "Restore Defaults" button. So that is where it is found.
Hope this helps.

Lisa
Lisa,
your proposal seams to work on file level, even if the little key which indicates file specific options dosn't disappear.
But on the files which are in a folder with specific options it dosn't work for me.

Christian
Hi Christian,
ok, I can see if I can dig a bit into this. I would expect the files settings to be used over the folder settings myself to be honest. I will get back to you as soon as there is any further feedback.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Christian,
You can reset all file/folder-level settings by right-clicking on the file/folder, then selecting Resource Configurations > Reset to Default... That would delete all the settings on that file/folder, including the little icon overlay.
As Lisa mentioned, the issue where changing build-options on a file-level also changes that option on other files, has been fixed for the upcoming CCSv5.2.0 (tracked by SDSCM00043779).
The other issue you mentioned, where changing build-options on a folder-level writes through to the project-level, is a new issue. I've opened SDSCM00043886 to track that.
Thanks,

Thanks Baltasar,
This solutions works to reset all changes I made to the file level Build Options and it removes this overlay icon, however this is not quite obvious.
