Hi all,
I tried to install CCSv5.2.1.00018 over eclipse Juno. The installation showed errors during installation (see attached file) but stated it terminated successfully. However I was not able to create new CCS Projects since this wizard was missing. Only create new Target Configuration File showed up. I made the same right after with eclipse Indigo, which was successfull. Just to let you know something is strange with the CCS installation over Juno
BR Andreas
OK one problem remains: After installing CCS over eclipse, I am no more able to run and debug standard C/C++ Projects in eclipse. The Run COnfiguration Wizard "Local C/C++ Application" is missing. How comes this - can it be avoided with other settings during the CCS installation
BR Andreas
Hi Andreas,
how do you launch when just using eclipse? How do you launch in the CCS case? What perspective are you in?
Best Regards,
LIsa
Hi Andreas,
If you are talking about Juno download packages from eclipse.org (i.e. complete products from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/), then unfortunately CCS does not support those yet. Those packages are based on eclipse platform 4.2. CCS uses two main features from eclipse.org Eclpse platform and CDT. CCS v5.3 (most likely 5.2 as well) should work with eclipse platform 3.8 and CDT v8.1. Both eclipse 3.8 and CDT 8.1 projects have been been made available under the Juno umbrella project. Unfortunately, there is no pre-made product at eclipse.org that is targeted at C/C++ developers that is based on Eclipse platform 3.8. We are targeting for Nov'12 to have a preview version of CCS that is based on eclipse platform 4.2. Is there specific functionality that you are looking for in eclipse 4.x? or are you trying to use this because that is what is currently available on eclipse.org?
Thanks,
Martin
Hello
I'm waiting for an CCS version compatible with eclipse Juno because i want to use other plugin specific to juno. There is a roadmap for CCS
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Code_Composer_Studio_Roadmap
it seems that there is no plan for Juno and eclipse 5.4 seems to be based on eclipse 3.8 (no mention of any CCS v6). Is there any plan with beta version for 2012
Alain,
CCSv5.x will continue to use the Eclipse 3.x stream. We do plan on having a build posted in mid-November that uses Eclipse 4.2. This would be an alpha of CCSv6. For production of CCSv6 we need to wait for some improvements in the Eclipse 4.x stream.
Regards,
John
