Hi Champs,
a customer is reporting an issue with a floating license. CCSv5 is showing the status licensed when started, but when connecting to the target the status changes to unlicensed.
The error message is:
License server system does not support this feature.
Feature: CCS_ISA_ALL
FLEXnet licensing error -18,147
Any ideas what could go wrong here?
Thanks and regards,
one and zero
Hi,
what type of license did they purchase? How have they setup the server? CCS? Further details would be helpful.
It seems like perhaps CCS is not being pointed to the correct file.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
it's a single floating license for C6000. But we support all ISA's anyway, right. That's why the error message (License server system does not support this feature. Feature: CCS_ISA_ALL) doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Also note that after launching CCS and staying in Edit mode the license is being recognized and also the status displayed as "Licensed". So this makes me think setup and path should be correct.
The Status changes to "Unlicensed" when changing into debug mode. Could it be that the license file is corrupted?
What additional info do you need? Are there any log files we should provide?
Thanks and regards,

Hi,
any further details would help. CCS does not check for a license until entering debug so that behaviour makes sense. What do they see in their license setup? How did they configure ccs? How did they configure the server?
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
here's the relevant section from the license server log-file:
10:00:31 (tidspssw) UNSUPPORTED: "CCS_ISA_ALL" (PORT_AT_HOST_PLUS ) User@Computer (License server system does not support this feature. (-18,327))
I'll provide license information directly to you in a separate message ...
Kind regards,

Hi,
did you replace real names etc in this line:
10:00:31 (tidspssw) UNSUPPORTED: "CCS_ISA_ALL" (PORT_AT_HOST_PLUS ) User@Computer (License server system does not support this feature. (-18,327))
the license file does support and list this feature. Corruption is one possibility. They could try redownloading the file from www.ti.com/myregisteredsoftware aside from that I would need more information to really continue. A couple other simpler things to check
- is an antivirus or windows permissions item blocking the vendor daemon
Anyhow any information on their setup would be great. Server status, setup on the server and in ccs etc.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Ok, glad to hear and thanks for the update. All the best with development.
Best Regards,
Lisa
